UKSwap Questionnaire Parts 1&2

Part One: Crafting
Do you knit, crochet, or both? Mainly knitting, I am not as experienced at crochet and have found that for a comparable item it tends to take a lot more yarn - so thrift usually kicks in and I knit it!
What do you like to make? I have all sorts of lovely ideas or sweaters, cardigans etc (for myself of course!) but in reality  I end up knitting socks, bags to full (felt), the occasional lacy shawl or scarf, socks, hats, baby clothes and - oh, socks.
Do you have a favourite project? Socks? Because I can get them finished before I get fed up. And because they only take one ball of yarn...
Do you have a favourite type of fiber or brand of yarn? Anything lush. I love Variegated, hand-painted, self-striping, beautiful skeins that I can gaze at and just enjoy because they are pretty... Natural fibres, especially anything with a nice drape such as alpaca, silk, cashmere(!) bamboo.
Do you have a least favourite type of yarn? Anything novelty or synthetic. I had this really hideous yellow lumpy acrylic stuff with different garish coloured lumps in it that I acquired from somewhere - it got destashed pretty quickly!
Do you do any other crafts? It would be quicker to list the crafts I haven't dabbled in... I do a bit of scrapbooking, cardmaking, sewing, quilting, beadwork, straw work, crochet, cross stitch. I have done a tiny bit of pottery, and I'd like to do some more basketry and maybe try glass fusing...
Do you knit in public? If so where do you like knitting and what is your "portable" project? I knit in coffee shops and in the car and I have knit in a pub at lunchtime (not on a Friday night though!).
What do you carry your "portable" knitting in? a purple Know Knits - Go Knit Pouch
Are there any knitting gifts (book, toy, yarn, item, tool) that you have been lusting over?I am a sucker for all things shiny - stitch markers, pretty Knitpicks harmony DPN's, yummy Peacefleece needles with novelty tops, etc. I have been lusting after a beautiful Nostepinne for a while now but can't decide which yummy wood to choose! I could also do with a more elegant storage solution for my many sets of DPN's, which currently live in rather nasty cardboard tubes.

Part Two: Your Favourites
What is your favourite colour? Bold, strong colours - royal blue, deep red, emerald green
What is your least favourite colour? beige. Anything washed-out makes me look really ill. (Winter colouring!)
What scents/smells do you like? What don’t you like? I love citrus smells, especially grapefruit, also I like the smell of coconut oil, roses, lavender, and tomato plants! I don't like the smell of geranium leaves (zonal pelargoniums) unless it's the lovely "Attar of Roses" perfumed variety. I hate the smell of tobacco smoke and stale beer!
How do you like to pamper yourself? (bubble bath, hand creams, massage, manicure) I would love to go and get a pedicure but the opportunity eludes me...
What goodies to you like to eat? (chocolate, biscuits, sweets, crisps etc) I love food! Too much - I am trying to lose weight at the moment... Savoury things are my weakness - pretzels, pistachios, popcorn, roasted almonds.
Do you prefer tea or coffee while you knit? Any particular kind? Lady Grey tea or white tea or a herbal tea (peppermint and nettle maybe). I'm not so keen on the fruit teas. I love the smell of fresh coffee beans but the caffeine disagrees with me. It makes me very jumpy!
Do you listen to/watch anything while you knit? (TVshow-Along, movies, music, podcasts, audiobooks) I watch DVD's which we rent mail-order, currently we are watching Lost series one, ER series seven, Battlestar Galactica series two, Babylon 5, Smallville, Lark Rise to Candleford, and the occasional film that strikes my fancy.
